The OSHS is a multiserver microkernel operating system. The OSHS kernel is called CHAOS and is sometimes referenced as OSHS nanokernel due to its size, which is much smaller even than traditional microkernels. On top of the CHAOS there is a bunch of servers that provide the whole richness of the operating system functionality.
